    Hello everyone!

The fishing in my area has transitioned to full on wintertime mode here in Tampa bay and that means some of the best shallow water sight fishing of the year. Large schools of slot-sized and bull redfish, giant “gator”trout, and big snook concentrate into warmer protected area this time of year and despite the cooler temperatures, the fishing can be on fire! In the mix we will have tasty some nice flounder, and some scrappy bluefish/ladyfish. Also, right around the corner typically beginning in early-mid Feb is the spawning run of massive blackdrum (20-70lbs). These fish are huge and once located, the action can be constant.

    Hello Everyone!

The fishing this fall has been as good as it gets! There has been good bait all over the place and the big predator fish have moved in thick to feed on them. They have been on the flats, potholes and around bridges. While fishing snook on the flats, redfish, big trout and a few flounder have also made a good showing. as the water cools expect t...

We are coming into what is possibly my favorite time to fish of the year!! the weather is cooling off, there are few people on the water and the fish can go ballistic all day long! As water temps cool off and the days get shorter, a mass migration of bait is triggered and the predators are right on there heels. First to show up are the “smaller” fast movers like spanish mackerel, little tunny, and jack crevalle. Not far behind them are “smoker” king mackerel, blacktip sharks, cobia, and even a few tarpon. The action can be fast and furious with literally thousands of fish blasting the surface in every direction under droves of diving birds.
