Hello Everyone, Fishing in my area this week has been fantastic. There is bait everywhere and the large predator fish are right on their heels. Water temperature is still fairly low for this time of year at about 79 f and should stay right around there for at least another couple weeks. This is a great water temp for the fish because its warm enough to keep there metabolism high yet it is cool enough that they don’t get lethargic during warmer parts of the day. As long as there is a good tide, they will bite all day long. Schools of tarpon continue to push into the area and were caught this week fishing the area passes, bridges and beaches. It is a long established fact that a reader will be distracted by the readable content of a page when looking at its...

Thanks to an incredibly strong “El Nino” up until a few days ago the water on the flats was in the low 80’s which is nearly unheard of during the wintertime. That left fish confused but now it is finally back to normal and gator trout are swarming the flats in droves. In the next couple of months some of the biggest trout of the year (28″-30″+) can be expected. Redfish are responding to the cooler weather as well and are starting to creep back onto the flats after being driven off by record heat. Large schools are beginning to form all over the bay. Snook ca...
